Intro

Hi! This is the new home of my thoughts and learnings on tech-sector products, business strategy, and operations.

In general, I love to learn and understand how things work and find myself most drawn towards the topics of food, science, technology, and business. This interest has led me through a mind-stimulating path in life, so far. Without going too far back, I studied economics as an undergrad (then physics), went through graduate school for physics, and now work on growth marketing strategy & operations at a tech company (which I find extremely energizing). If you are interested in the scientific research I am still active in, please check out my projects here!

Having lots of academic training and experience self-teaching, this forum will serve to: 1) Catch up with the world after years of focused grad-school life; 2) clarify (to myself) the directions I’m most excited about pursuing; and 3) provide concise material for others at a similar point in life (perhaps moving from the world of academia to business, or shifting from a more technical role to a higher-level, strategy-focused role).

Here, I will post on topics/questions that I delve into (to better understand), as I become more exposed to tech businesses. For example, questions that occupy brain-space for me now are: Why are some long-running start-ups considered successful, even though they have never been profitable? What is the state of augmented reality, and can it serve as an enjoyable product for consumers? What are core business ideas that are only clearly introduced through an MBA curriculum?

I’m excited to learn and share more — thanks for joining!
